PEDERASTY in ANCIENT GREECE:
Sexual interactions between the older erastes (mentor) and eromenos (youth/future citizen) occurred in Crete and Athens primarily, although it varied from city-state to city-state. The only acceptable form of sexual activity between the two men was intercrural in nature. The term erastesmeans lover, eromenos means beloved.
What is intercrural? Intercrural refers to the older man placing his penis between the youth's thighs. This is literal and not an euphemism. Sexual activity was regulated by the class distinctions between the individuals. Penetration was for women and slaves, not men. And most definitely not social equals or even future citizens. In fact, penetration of a free man was considered to be a form of hubris, the ultimate sin.
The beardless youth was courted by one or more prospective mentors. The young man (mid-teens) was expected to chose the most noble man. However once he became a man, and developed a beard and body hair, he was expected to marry and produce heirs. The mentor was to remain supportive of his protege.
Even in Athens, the city-state were pederasty was most strongly tied to sexual behavior, the relationship was only intended to last for a few years. Sometimes a youth became a kept boy, but he did so at the risk of losing his citizenship and all the associated rights, especially the right to vote.

ReplyDeleteI don't know who you are but someone posted a link from your blog about this man Jerome Booth and his company New Sparta into the comments of my blog, and when I read the link I realised that Barbara Kahan's name has been used to set up the company. Barbara Kahan is the lady who was trying to stop child abuse, she was involved in the Staffordshire Pindown child abuse enquiry, along with Allan Levy QC, and as she died in 2000 aged 80 she couldnt possibly have been involved with New Sparta until 2013, so its obvious that something fraudulent has been going on with New Sparta's books.
I am one of the victims of child abuse in Staffordshire and have been reabused for years, and any help I have had has been begrudging they wrecked my career chances, they dont even seem to want me to "get over it" as I keep being told I must do and its just dead creepy what they have done, Stafford Police are involved in the abuse and cover up
Barbara They are Satanists it is what They do. They try to hide in plain view while They laugh at our innocence and ignorance. They are told that They are the chosen ones but in Truth They live a life of lies and deceits. The wicked can never overcome the Good. Our Lord is Triumphant in Victory! So now we're left with the question of what is the real connection between all of this huge fraud and child abuse. Our Prime Minister certainly knows something about all of this and doesn't want the links uncovered.
The link with Exaro is concerning, it really does make one wonder what's actually going on... Are they using the 40 year old "revelations" to deflect from the present day CLEAR LINKS between abuse, fraud, politics and the theft of Kahan's identity?
I hope not, I do have respect for their work, but it's worth bearing in mind that if they hadn't talked Simon Danczuk into not naming Leon Brittan as an abuser back in July at the select committee, we wouldn't have had the Butler-Sloss and Woolf debacles and the inquiry would probably have had a chair since the Summer rather than sitting with no chair months and months later.
I sincerely hope Zoompad is alive and well, her last blogpost and tweet are very worrying.
